The fourth International Yoga Day is being celebrated across the globe today. In India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led thousands of people in performing yoga asanas, in the main event organised at Forest Research Institute in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He called upon people to make Yoga a movement and a part of their lives. Mr. Modi said Yoga has emerged as the biggest unifying force in the world and has become a biggest mass movement.
"Yoga day has become one of the biggest mass movement in the quest for good health and well being, from Tokyo to Toronto, from Stockholm to Saupaulu yoga has became a positive influence in the lives of millions."
Mr Modi said, Yoga has been a part of Indian tradition and it integrates the people. He said, Uttarakhand is the Yoga Bhumi and it has been the center of yoga for decades. Mr Modi said yoga has shown the world the path from illness to wellness. He said instead of dividing, Yoga unites, instead of further animosity, yoga assimilates and instead of suffering, Yoga heals.
"आज की आपाधापी और तेज़ भागती जिन्दगी में योग मन, शरीर, बुद्धि, आत्माको जोड़कर व्यक्ति के जीवन में एक शांति की अनुभूति कराता है। यानि योगव्यक्ति, परिवार, समाज, देश, विश्व और संपूर्ण मानवता को जोड़ता है।"
Our Dehradun correspondent reports that, people in large numbers took part in the Mega event with zeal and enthusiasm:
"Yoga demonstration with Prime Minister started this morning at 7:00 AM at FRI lawns. People from different walks of life with enthusiasm have been started arriving in wee hours to participate in Yoga, in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Governor K.K. Paul, Union and Minister of state for AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik and Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat were also present on this occasion. Chief Minister welcomed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and thanked him for selecting the state capital as the host of the main event of International Yoga Day. Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu participated in the celebrations in Mumbai.
Several Union Ministers are also taking part in the celebrations in different parts of the country.

"Mass Yoga demonstration programmes were organized at various places in Delhi including Rajpath, Nehur Park, Lodhi Garden, Lal Quila and Yamuna sports complex. The yoga event at Rajpath was attended by Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal and others. Information and Broadcasting Minister Col Rajyavardhan Rathore participated in the Yoga session in Shahdara. Around two thousand Delhi Police personnel also took part in the yoga session at Thyagraj sports complex. In Jammu & Kashmir, Yoga Day is being celebrated at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium in Srinagar. A senior police official told AIR that hundreds of participants from NCC, Police and Police Public School, Srinagar, are participating in the event.
In Rajasthan, state level yoga function is being organised at Kota where around 2 lakh people are taking part in an attempt to enter a world record.
Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice originated in ancient India. In 2015, United Nations General Assembly unanimously announced 21st June as the International day for yoga to raise awareness about the benefits of practicing yoga. Mr. Modi in his UN address in 2014 proposed the idea of International Yoga day.

Vishwas Mandalik from Nasik and the Yoga Institute in Mumbai have been selected as recipients of the Prime Minister's award for outstanding contribution for promotion and development of yoga for the year 2018. AYUSH Ministry in a statement said, the selection was done from among 186 nominations received under different categories. The winners would be felicitated with a trophy, certificate and a cash award of 25 lakh rupees each.

President Ram Nath Kovind will observe the Yoga Day in Suriname along with his Suriname counterpart Desire Delano Bouterse today. This will be the first time that heads of two countries will together participate in the International Yoga day. He invited every one to join him for yoga to observe International Yoga day today.
Mr Kovind arrived in the Suriname capital Paramaribo yesterday on the second leg of his three-nation tour to Greece, Suriname and Cuba.
The President held bilateral discussions with his Suriname counterpart yesterday. The two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest and cooperation followed by delegation level talks. The two sides agreed to expand the bilateral agenda especially in areas of economic relations, cultural cooperation and development partnership.
India's Ambassador to Suriname Satendar Kumar told our correspondent covering the President's visit, that Indian Diaspora plays a crucial role in strengthening the relations between the two countries.
"Surinam is one country which I called the repository of Indian culture and traditions. They have preserved maintained these traditions including religion, mode of worship, ritualism, social customs, everything so fondly and so well that actually drive our relationship in a way and we have been cooperating on many sectors."

In Jammu and Kashmir, one policeman was killed and two others injured after unidentified terrorists attacked a Police vehicle at Galander Pampore area in the outskirts of Srinagar last evening. Security sources told AIR that the injured policemen were rushed to the hospital for specialized treatment, where one of the injured policemen, identified as Tanveer Ahmad, succumbed to his injuries.

Information and Broadcasting Minister, Rajyavardhan Rathore said he hoped that senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad would retract his reported statement that government actions killed 20 civilians for every four terrorists in Kashmir.
Mr Rathore was responding to Azad's reported comment that the muscular policy of the government worked mostly against civilians as it killed 20 civilians for every four terrorists.

MEA Spokesperson, Raveesh Kumar said in tweet that the two leaders exchanged views on progress made on the understandings reached during the last India-EU Summit in 2017. He said, India and EU are strategic and natural partners with common values. Before arriving in Brussels, Mrs Swaraj was in Luxembourg where she had a meeting with the Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and other leaders.

US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order to keep together immigrant families who have been detained at the border with Mexico. Mr Trump reversed his own policy amid heavy pressure from his fellow Republicans, Democrats and the international community, over the separation of undocumented parents and children. The order states that most families would be kept together under the Department of Homeland Security, except in cases where an adult may pose a threat to a child. It was not immediately clear when Mr Trump's order would be implemented.

आज दुनियाभर में चौथा अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस मनाया जा रहा है। देश में मुख्य समारोह उत्तराखंड के देहरादून में वन अनुसंधान संस्थान में हुआ, जहां प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने लोगों को संबोधित किया।
सभी वरिष्ठ महानुभाव और इस विशाल सुंदर मैदान में उपस्थित मेरे सभी साथियो मैं देवभूमि उत्तराखंड की इस पावन धरती से दुनियाभर के योग प्रेमियों को चौथे अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस की बहुत-बहुत शुभकामनाएं देता हूं।

योग प्राचीन भारत की शारीरिक, मानसिक और आध्यात्मिक क्रिया है। 2015 में संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने सर्वसम्मति से हर वर्ष 21 जून को अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस के रूप में मनाने की घोषणा की थी।

राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविन्द आज सूरीनाम में वहां के राष्ट्रपति देसरी दलानो बुतरशय के साथ योग दिवस मनाएंगे। ऐसा पहली बार है जब योग दिवस के अवसर पर समारोह में दो राष्ट्राध्यक्ष एक साथ हिस्सा लेंगे। राष्ट्रपति तीन देशों- ग्रीस, सूरीनाम और क्यूबा की यात्रा के दूसरे चरण में कल सूरीनाम की राजधानी पारामारीबो पहुंचे।
सूरीनाम में भारत के राजदूत सत्येन्द्र कुमार ने बताया कि श्री कोविन्द ने कल सूरीनाम के राष्ट्रपति के साथ आपसी हित और सहयोग से संबंधित मुद्दों पर विचार-विमर्श किया और कई समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय, दि्वपक्षीय सब पर बहुत विस्तार से चर्चा हुई दोनों डेलिगेशंस के बीच में। इंटरनेशनल अलायंस के लिये क्योंकि वो फाउन्डिंग मेम्बर बन गये हैं सुरीनाम। अभी मार्च में उन्होंने हस्ताक्षर किये उस समझौते पर और आज उन्होंने इंस्ट्रूमेंट ऑफ रेक्टिफिकेशन भी सूरीनाम के राष्ट्रपति ने हमारे राष्ट्रपति जी को भेंट किया।

21वें फीफा फुटबॉल विश्व कप में उरूग्वे ने सऊदी अरब को 1-0 से हरा दिया है। लुई सुआरेज ने अपने 100वें अंतरराष्ट्रीय मैच में खेल के 23वें मिनट में शानदार गोल कर उरूग्वे को सऊदी अरब पर 1-0 से जीत दिलाकर फीफा फुटबॉल विश्व कप के अंतिम 16 में जगह पक्की कर ली है।
उरूग्वे की यह लगातार दूसरी जीत है। उरूग्वे ने पहले मैच में भी मिस्र को 1-0 से हराया था। इससे पहले, क्रिस्टियानो रोनाल्डो के चौथे मिनट में शानदार गोल और इसके बाद खेल के अंत तक गोलकीपर हुई-पैत्रिसियो के साहसिक प्रयासों से पुर्तगाल ने मोरक्को को 1-0 से पराजित किया।

In Rajasthan, a world record has been set at the State Level yoga celebration in Kota where the largest number of people performed asanas at one place. Representatives of Guinness World Record handed over the certificate to the Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje. A report:-
"The today’s function held on International Yoga Day has been set a world record for largest number of people performing yoga at one place at the same time. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev led the people at RAC Ground, where 30 lakh squre feet area was prepared for performing yoga. Representatives of Guinness World Record handed over the certificate of world record to Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Swami RamDev. This will be the first time that heads of two countries will together participate in the International Day of Yoga. Over 500 yoga lovers turned up to take part in over an hour-long special yoga workout at the old Indian Embassy premises. South Korean President Moon Jae-in in a series of tweets extended his heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian people on the occasion. In Croatia, the day was organised in 35 cities across the country.In Finland, spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar inaugurated the International Yoga Day celebrations along with the Indian Ambassador Vani Rao at the House of Nobility in Helsinki.

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Pune police has arrested some top officials of Bank of Maharashtra, including its CEO and Managing Director Ravindra Marathe, in connection with the over 2,000-crore rupee fraud case against DSK group accused of cheating thousands of its depositors. The bank's Executive Director Rajendra Gupta, Zonal Manager Nityanand Deshpande and former CMD Sushil Muhnot were also among those arrested on charges of conspiring with the key accused to illegally sanction a loan of 100 crores for a real estate project. While seeking their custody, the EOW told a local court that the accused officials had violated norms and RBI guidelines while sanctioning the loan.

In Madhya Pradesh, at least 15 members of the same family were killed and five others injured after a sand-laden tractor hit a car at Ganjrampur in Morena district today. Our Correspondent reports that the injured were taken to the district hospital.
"The family of twenty were travelling in the jeep from Gwalior to Morena to attend the last rites of their relative. According to police a sand-laden tractor coming from the opposite direction hit the jeep. The impact of the collision was so strong that the jeep was crushed. Police said ten of the people in the jeep died on the spot. All the victims are from Gwalior. The driver of the tractor-trolley fled the spot after the accident. India has hiked customs duty on several goods imported from the US. The Finance ministry, in a notification, said the import duty hike would be effective from August of 4th. The move was in retaliation to the duty hike by the US on certain steel and aluminium products which had tariff implication of 241 million US dollars on India. The duty hike by India would have an equivalent tariff implication for the US. However, there was no duty hike on motorcycles imported from the US.

चौथा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस आज देश-विदेश में मनाया जा रहा है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की अगुवाई में उत्तराखंड में देहरादून में हजारों लोगों ने वन अनुसंधान संस्थान के प्रांगण में योगाभ्यास किया। श्री मोदी ने लोगों का आह्वान किया कि वे योग को अपने जीवन का हिस्सा बनायें और इसे आंदोलन का रूप दें। उन्होंने कहा कि योग दुनिया को जोड़ने की सबसे बड़ी ताकत बना और यह लोगों को बांटने की बजाय एकजुट करने का काम करता है।

The 4th anniversary of International Yoga Day was celebrated on a large scale throughout the country and across the globe today. The main function in India was held at Uttarakhand's capital Dehradun, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi led thousands of people in performing yoga asanas at Forest Research Institute this morning. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Modi appealed to the people to make Yoga a part of their lives. He said, Yoga has emerged as the biggest unifying force in the world.

Participating in the event in Mumbai, the Vice President stressed on the need to include Yoga in school curriculum to create a healthy nation. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, also participated in the programme.
In the national capital, several dignitaries including Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi, Information and Broadcasting Minister Col Rajyavardhan Rathore and Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal took part in mass Yoga demonstrations at various places. Speaking at the celebrations held in Shahdara, Mr Rathore urged people to unite with Yoga to build a healthier new India and a happier world. Ms Maneka Gandhi participated in the yoga event with pregnant women.
In Jammu and Kashmir, the main function was held at the Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex in Srinagar.

Chief Minister Vijay Rupani witnessed over 750 Divyangs people from across the country attempting to set a Guiness World Record for 'Largest Silent Yoga Class' with Bluetooth enabled head phones to mark the International Yoga day in Ahmedabad. Speaking on the occasion Governor O P Kohli said that Yoga is a unique confluence of Indian culture, tradition and knowledge. President Ram Nath Kovind, who is on a three-nation visit participated in the Yoga Day celebration along with his Suriname counterpart Desire Delano Bouterse in Paramaribo. Central Board of Direct Taxes today said, prompt investigation is being taken in fresh series of cases pertaining to Panama Papers. In a release, the Board said, the fresh Panama Papers reveal made in the media is being promptly looked into by the law enforcement agencies under the aegis of the Multi Agency Group (MAG). The Group had been constituted earlier for facilitating coordinated and speedy investigation. The Panama Paper leaks were originally revealed by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists in 2016. The leaks involving 426 persons have been investigated by the Income Tax Department and other member agencies of MAG.

In Afghanistan, at least 20 Taliban terrorists and 17 security personnel were killed after clashes in two districts today. A government spokesman said, in Ghazni province, 20 terrorists and three security personnel were killed after Taliban's attempts to overrun Jaghato district were repulsed. 10 terrorists and four security personnel were also injured in the fighting.
In Faryab province, 14 personnel were killed as Taliban terrorists stormed Afghan forces security checkpoints in Khawja Sabzpush district today.

In US, the House of Representatives is set to vote tonight on a pair of immigration bills that address the separation of migrant families at the country's border with Mexico. Voting comes a day after President Donald Trump reversed the migrant family separation policy that divided the country’s major political parties. The outcome of the votes is uncertain. One measure is more hard-line, while the other represents a compromise between the Republican Party’s conservative and moderate wings. The compromise bill includes a provision requiring children and their parents to be detained together if they cross the border illegally. It would also provide 25 billion dollars in funding for Trump’s much-promised border wall, and changing the existing visa lottery into a merit-based system.

चौथा अंतर्राष्ट्रीय योग दिवस आज देश-विदेश में मनाया जा रहा है। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की अगुवाई में उत्तराखंड में देहरादून में हजारों लोगों ने वन अनुसंधान संस्थान के प्रांगण में योगाभ्यास किया। श्री मोदी ने लोगों का आह्वान किया कि वे योग को अपने जीवन का हिस्सा बनायें और इसे आंदोलन का रूप दें। उन्होंने कहा कि योग दुनिया को जोड़ने की सबसे बड़ी ताकत बना है यह लोगों को एकजुट करता है।

केन्द्रीय प्रत्यक्ष कर बोर्ड ने कहा है कि पनामा पेपर्स से संबंधित नये मामलों में त्वरित जांच की जा रही है। बोर्ड ने कहा है कि मीडिया में पनामा पेपर्स के बारे में आई ताजा जानकारी की जांच मल्टी एजेंसी ग्रुप- एम०ए०जी० की निगरानी में विभिन्न एजंसियों द्वारा की जा रही है। इस ग्रुप का गठन तेजी से समन्वित जांच कराने के लिए किया गया है।

अफगानिस्तान में आज दो जिलों में सुरक्षा बलों और तालिबान आतंकवादियों के बीच झड़पों में बीस आतंकवादी और 17 सुरक्षाकर्मी मारे गये हैं। सरकारी प्रवक्ता ने बताया कि तालिबान लड़ाकुओं ने गजनी प्रांत के जघाटो जिले के पास सुरक्षा बलों पर हमला किया। दोनों के बीच झड़पों में बीस आतंकवादी और तीन सुरक्षाकर्मी मारे गये। दूसरी घटना फरयाब प्रांत में हुई जिसमें आतंकवादियों ने सुरक्षा बलों के शिविर पर हमला किया जिसमें 14 जवान शहीद हो गए।
