External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to participate in BRICS Foreign Ministers' meeting in South Africa.

विदेश मंत्री सुषमा स्‍वराज दक्षिण अफ्रीका में ब्रिक्‍स देशों के विदेश मंत्रियों की बैठक में शामिल होंगी।

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will participate in the BRICS Foreign Ministers' meeting in the South African city of Johannesburg today. The meeting is expected to lay the foundation for next month's annual summit of the grouping which will also be held in Johannesburg. The BRICS comprises Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

Mrs Swaraj will also chair a meeting of Foreign Ministers of IBSA (India, Brazil, South Africa), another bloc working to deepen co-ordination among the three countries on major global issues.

The External Affairs Minister will also attend a series of events marking the 125th anniversary of the historic incident where a young Mahatma Gandhi was thrown out of a train compartment in Pietermaritzburg railway station in 1893. The incident proved to be a turning point in Mahatma Gandhi's fight against racial discrimination in South Africa.

Last evening, Mrs Swaraj called on South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and discussed with him ways to make further progress in bilateral and multilateral co-operation.

विदेश मंत्री सुषमा स्वराज आज ब्रिक्स देशों के विदेश मंत्रियों की बैठक में भाग लेंगी। बैठक में अगले महीने जोहानिसबर्ग में ब्रिक्‍स देशों के वार्षिक शिखर सम्मेलन की रूपरेखा तय की जानी है। इस समूह में ब्राजील, रूस, भारत, चीन और दक्षिण अफ्रीका हैं। विदेश मंत्री भारत, ब्राजील और दक्षिण अफ्रीका- इब्सा संगठन के विदेश मंत्रियों की बैठक की अध्यक्षता भी करेंगी।

विदेश मंत्री सुषमा स्वराज ने कल मॉरिशस की राजधानी पोर्ट लुई में अगस्‍त ग्यारहवें विश्व हिंदी सम्मेलन की तैयारियों की समीक्षा की। श्रीमती स्वराज ने कल स्वामी विवेकानंद अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन केंद्र का भी दौरा किया।

First cargo of Russian Liquefied Natural Gas to arrive at Dahej in Gujarat today.

रूस से तरल प्राकृतिक गैस- एल एन जी की पहली खेप आज गुजरात में दहेज बंदरगाह पहुंचेगी।

The first-ever cargo of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) from Russia will arrive in Gujarat today as India is diversifying its import basket to meet the vast energy needs. Official sources said, State-owned gas utility GAIL India Limited will bring the shipload of LNG from Gazprom, a Russian supplier, at Petronet LNG Ltd's import terminal in Dahej. Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will receive the consignment at the terminal.

भारत आज रूस से तरल प्राकृतिक गैस-एलएनजी की पहली खेप प्राप्त करेगा। आधिकारिक सूत्रों ने बताया कि सरकारी गैस कंपनी गेल इंडिया लिमिटेड रूसी आपूर्तिकर्ता कम्‍पनी गज़प्रोम से गुजरात के दहेज बंदरगाह पेट्रोनेट एलएनजी लिमिटेड के टर्मिनल पर यह खेप लाएगी।

Jordanian Prime Minister Hani Mulki resigns amid mass protests over price hikes and Tax bill.

जॉर्डन के प्रधानमंत्री हानी मुल्‍की ने मूल्‍यवृद्धि और कर-विधेयक के विरोध में प्रदर्शनों के कारण इस्‍तीफा दिया।

Jordanian Prime Minister Hani Mulki today submitted his resignation to King Abdullah II. An official source said his resignation was submitted in a meeting with the King. It comes amid mass protests over price hikes and adoption of a draft income tax reform bill based on recommendations by the International Monetary Fund.

Protests have been taking place across Amman and other towns for the last four days calling for removal of Mulki.

In French Open Tennis, Maria Sharapova entered the quarter finals of women's singles today after the shock withdrawal of Serena Williams due to injury. Minutes before her scheduled fourth-round clash against her long-time Russian rival, William said, she cannot serve at all after a pectoral muscle injury in her third-round win over Julia Goerges. World number one Simona Halep blazed into the quarter-finals by crushing Belgian Elise Mertens 6-2 6-1. In other matches, Russian Daria Kasatkina also advanced to quarterfinals for the first time beating Australian Open champion Caroline Wozniacki 7-6, 6-3.

In men's singles, Rafael Nadal also marched to quarter finals after a straight-sets win over Maximilian Marterer 6-3, 6-2, 7-6.

फ्रैंच ओपन टेनिस प्रतियोगिता में मारिया शारापोवा महिला सिंगल्‍स के क्‍वार्टर फाइनल में पहुंच गई हैं।

पुरुष सिंगल्‍स में राफेल नडाल भी क्‍वार्टर फाइनल में पहुंच गए हैं। प्री-क्‍वार्टर फाइनल में उन्‍होंने जर्मनी के मैक्‍समिलन मार्टर्र को हराया।
