• India records 22 per cent reduction in Maternal Mortality Ratio since 2013.

• प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी आज सुबह वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिए प्रधानमंत्री भारतीय जन-औषधि परियोजना के लाभार्थियों से बातचीत करेंगे।

India has registered a significant decline in Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) recording a 22-per cent reduction in such deaths since 2013. According to the Sample Registration System bulletin released yesterday, the MMR has declined from 167 in 2011-2013 to 130 in 2014-2016. 

भारत में वर्ष 2013 से प्रसव के समय माताओं की मृत्यु दर में रिकार्ड 22 प्रतिशत की कमी हुई है। नमूना पंजीकरण प्रणाली के अनुसार, मातृ मृत्युदर वर्ष 2011 से 2013 में 167 थी जो घटकर 2014 से 2016 में 130 रह गई।

केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री जे पी नड्डा ने ट्वीटर पर कहा कि  सरकार 2015 तक सहस्राब्दी विकास लक्ष्य 139 से भी आगे बढ़ गई है।

The Election Commission has launched its online RTI Portal. The portal - rti.eci.nic.in will facilitate applicants seeking information under the Right to Information Act. The portal also facilitates online reply to applications and also for making first appeal and reply thereto.

The Election Commission was established in accordance with the Constitution on 25th January 1950.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has said, Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela gave hope to those facing injustice and discrimination. The External Affairs Minister was the keynote speaker at a banquet(hall) at Pietermaritzburg in South Africa, marking the 125th anniversary of the day, when on 7th June, 1893, Mahatma Gandhi, a young lawyer then, was thrown off a train compartment reserved for whites only. 

विदेश मंत्री सुषमा स्वराज ने कहा है कि महात्मा गांधी और नेल्सन मंडेला ने अन्याय और भेदभाव झेलने वालों को उम्मीदें दीं। श्रीमती सुषमा स्वराज ने महात्मा गांधी को अंग्रेजों के लिये आरक्षित रेल डिब्बे से फेंके जाने की 125वीं सालगिरह पर पीटरमारित्जबर्ग में आयोजित भोज के अवसर पर प्रमुख व्याखान में यह बात कही। 7 जून 1893 को मोहनदास करमचंद गांधी के साथ दक्षिण अफ्रीका में यह घटना हुई थी।

• प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा- सरकार हर नागरिक को कम खर्च पर अच्‍छी स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य सुविधा उपलब्‍ध कराने के लिए लगातार काम कर रही है। 2025 तक तपेदिक उन्‍मूलन का वैश्विक लक्ष्‍य देश में पांच वर्ष पहले ही पूरा होगा।

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said the government is constantly working to provide affordable healthcare to every Indian. He said that government aims to eradicate tuberculosis from India by 2025, five years ahead of a globally-set deadline. Interacting with beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana, Mr Modi said, due to illness, the financial burden is immense for the poor and the middle class. Mr Modi said, the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojna has been launched to ensure the poor get access to affordable medicines. He said, several people are benefitting due to the Yojana across India.

Mr Modi said, the Government has reduced prices of stents substantially and this is helping the poor and the middle class the most.

He said, the Swachh Bharat Mission is playing a central role in creating a healthy India. He said over three thousand Janaushadhi Kendras are operational across the country, where more than 700 quality medicines are available for diabetes, cardiac, blood pressure and other ailments.

During the interaction, the Prime Minister said that, knee transplants have become cheaper now.

During interaction one of the beneficiaries shared that for the last three years he has been undergoing dialysis and the treatment in private hospitals was turning out to be expensive. The dialysis centres of the Government have reduced his costs.

Ahead of the International Yoga Day on June 21, the Prime Minister also appealed to people to practice yoga and make it a part of their life.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कहा है कि सरकार हर नागरिक को कम खर्च पर अच्‍छी स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य सुविधाएं उपलब्‍ध कराने के लिए लगातार काम कर रही है। नमो एप के ज़रिये प्रधानमंत्री भारतीय जन औषधि परियोजना के लाभार्थियों से बातचीत में श्री मोदी ने कहा कि बीमारी के कारण गरीबों और मध्‍य वर्ग लोगों पर बहुत आर्थिक बोझ पड़ता है और दवाईयां प्राप्‍त करना बड़ा मुश्किल होता है। श्री मोदी ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री भारतीय जन औषधि परियोजना इसलिए शुरू की गई है कि गरीब लोगों को कम कीमत पर दवाइयां मिल सकें। उन्‍होंने कहा कि इस योजना से देशभर में बहुत से लोगों को फायदा पहुंचा है।

जन औषधि केन्द्र पर दवाइयां 50 परसेंट से ले करके 90 परसेंट तक कम दाम पर मिल रही हैं, चाहे कैंसर का इलाज हो, मोतियाबिंद की बात हो, डाइबिटिज हो, मधुमेह हो या ब्लड प्रेसर रक्तचाप हो, कई स्पेशल कैटेगरी की दवाइयां सस्ती कीमतों पर मिल रही है।

श्री मोदी ने कहा कि सरकार ने हृदय रोग के इलाज़ में काम आने वाले स्‍टेंट की कीमतों में बहुत कमी की है और इसका फायदा गरीबों तथा मध्‍य वर्ग को सबसे अधिक पहुंच रहा है।

हृदय रोगों के इलाज में लगने वाले स्टेंट्स की कीमत सरकार ने तकरीबन अस्सी नब्बे प्रतिशत कम कर दी हैं, जिस स्टेंट की कीमत पहले डेढ़ लाख, दो लाख रुपये थी, वो अब अधिकतम 25 और 30 हजार रुपये के बीच में मिलती है।

प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि स्‍वच्‍छ भारत मिशन स्‍वस्‍थ भारत के निर्माण में मुख्‍य भूमिका निभा रहा है। उन्‍होंने कहा कि देशभर में 3 हजार से अधिक जन औषधि केन्‍द्र काम कर रहे हैं। इनमें मधुमेह, दिल की बीमारी, रक्‍तचाप और अन्‍य रोगों से निपटने के लिए उच्‍च गुणवत्‍ता वाली 7 सौ से अधिक दवाइयां उपलब्‍ध हैं।

श्री मोदी ने कहा कि उनकी सरकार ने 2025 तक भारत में तपेदिक की बीमारी खत्‍म करने का लक्ष्‍य रखा है जो वैश्विक स्‍तर पर निर्धारित समय से पांच वर्ष पहले पूरा होगा।

प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि घुटना प्रत्यारोपण की कीमतों में भी भारी कमी हुई है।

करीब-करीब ढ़ाई से तीन लाख रुपये तक का खर्च नी ट्रांसप्लांट में आता था, लेकिन अब ऐसा नहीं है, घुटना प्रत्यारोपण की कीमतों में 60 से ले करके 70 प्रतिशत तक की कमी आई है, जो नी ट्रांसप्लांट पहले करीब ढाई लाख रुपये में होता था, अब वो 50 हजार, 60 हजार, 70 हजार, 80 हजार इतने में हो जाता है। 

बातचीत के दौरान राजस्‍थान में अलवर से लक्ष्‍मी देवी ने कहा कि घुटना-प्रत्‍यारोपण पर खर्च कम आने लगा है और इससे उन्‍हें बड़ी मदद मिली है।

आंध्र प्रदेश से विजय बाबू ने कहा कि पिछले तीन वर्षों से एक निजी अस्‍पताल में चल रहे डायलिसिस पर उन्‍हें काफी खर्च करना पड़ रहा था। सरकार के डायलिसिस केन्‍द्रों में इसकी लागत कम कर दी गई है।

• President inaugurates 73 km long National Highway in Tripura: says infrastructure plays key role in development of any state. 
• राष्‍ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविन्‍द ने त्रिपुरा में 73 किलोमीटर लम्‍बे राष्‍ट्रीय राजमार्ग का उद्घाटन किया। श्री कोविन्‍द ने कहा- किसी भी राज्‍य के विकास में आधारभूत ढांचे की भूमिका अहम।

In Tripura, President Ram Nath Kovind said infrastructure plays a very important role in the development of any state. He was inaugurating a 73 km. long National Highway from Matabari (Udaipur) to Sabroom along the Gomati and South Tripura districts. Addressing a gathering, the President said the Central Government is working on various projects expeditiously under its ‘Act East’ policy in North East Region.

"Giving references of several projects undertaken by the central government for the North Eastern Region, the President said after completion of these projects our bilateral relations will be more strengthened. He said that improved connectivity will boost tourism and strengthen the economy of the state as well. The President further added that without the development of backward class and tribal communities, the country’s development is incomplete. He said that the central government has introduced various schemes for the development of tribal community and expressed hope that the people from this community will be benefited through these schemes. 

राष्‍ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद ने आज त्रिपुरा के गोमती और दक्षिण त्रिपुरा में माताबाड़ी से सबरूम तक  73 किलोमीटर लंबे राष्‍ट्रीय राजमार्ग का उद्घाटन किया। हमारे संवाददाता ने बताया कि इस अवसर पर उपस्थित लोगों को संबोधित करते हुए राष्‍ट्रपति ने कहा कि किसी भी राज्‍य के विकास में नागरिकों और ढांचागत व्‍यवस्‍था की बहुत महत्‍वपूर्ण भूमिका होती है।

राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि केन्द्र सरकार पूर्वोत्तर क्षेत्रों में अपनी ऐक्ट ईस्ट नीति के तहत शीघ्रता से विभिन्न परियोजनाओं पर काम कर रही है। उत्तर-पूर्वी क्षेत्र के लिए केन्द्र सरकार द्वारा की गई परियोजनाओं का संदर्भ देते हुए राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि इन परियोजनाओं के पूरा होने के बाद पड़ोसी देशों के साथ हमारे द्विपक्षीय संबंध अधिक मजबूत होंगे। राष्ट्रपति ने कहा कि पिछड़े वर्ग और आदिवासी समुदाय के विकास के बिना देश का विकास अधूरा है। उन्होंने कहा कि केन्द्र सरकार ने आदिवासी समुदाय के विकास के लिए विभिन्न योजनाएं शुरू की है और आशा व्यक्त की कि इन योजनाओं के माध्यम से इन समुदाय के लोगों का फायदा होगा।

• Government approves procurement of equipment worth the 5500 crore rupees for Defence Forces.

• सरकार ने सैन्‍य बलों के लिए पांच हजार 500 करोड़ रुपये मूल्‍य के उपकरण खरीदने को मंजूरी दी।

The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) has approved the procurement of equipment for the defence forces worth over 5500 crore rupees. The council, chaired by Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, approved procurement of 12 High Power Radars for the Indian Air Force. An official release said, the radars will provide long range and high altitude radar cover with the capability to detect and track high speed targets.

The DAC also accorded approval for procurement of Air Cushion Vehicles for the Coast Guard and Army from Indian Shipyard.

रक्षा खरीद परिषद ने पचपन अरब रुपये से अधिक मूल्‍य के रक्षा उपकरण खरीदने की मंजूरी दी है। रक्षामंत्री निर्मला सीतारमन की अध्‍यक्षता में परिषद की बैठक में भारतीय वायुसेना के लिए उच्‍च शक्ति के 12 राडार खरीदने को भी स्‍वीकृति प्रदान की गई है।

भारतीय शिपयार्ड से तटरक्षक और सेना के लिए एयर कुशन वेहिकल्‍स की खरीद को भी मंजूरी दी गई है। ये छिछले जलक्षेत्र में भी तीव्रगति से चलने में सक्षम हैं।

Addressing the Shiksha Varg of RSS at a function in Nagpur this evening, Mr Mukherjee shared his thoughts on nation, nationalism and patriotism. he said, Indian nationalism emanated from universalism, assimilation and co-existence.

Earlier, the former President visited the birth place of the RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar. Mr Mukherjee was welcomed by the RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

• India bags four medals including a gold on the opening day of Asian Junior Athletics Championships in Japan.

• जापान में एशियन जूनियर एथलेटिक्‍स चैम्पियनशिप के पहले दिन भारत ने एक स्‍वर्ण सहित चार पदक हासिल किए।

India bagged four medals, including a gold on the opening day of 2018 Asian Junior Athletics Championships at Gifu in Japan. Ashish Jakhar won a gold medal in the Men's hammer throw event. He set a junior national record throwing hammer to a distance of 76.86 meters.

Triple jumper Priyadarshini Suresh and long distance runner Poonam Sonune each won bronze medals in women's events. Quartermiler Jisna Mathew was the fastest across the two heats in the women's 400 metre race. She qualified for the final with a time of 54.78 seconds. 

जापान में एशियाई जूनियर एथलेटिक्स चैंपियनशिप में आज भारतीय खिलाड़ियों ने एक स्वर्ण सहित चार पदक जीते। आशीष जाखड़ ने पुरुष हैमर थ्रो स्पर्धा में स्वर्ण पदक जीतने के साथ अपने रिकॉर्ड में सुधार किया। इसी स्पर्धा में दमनीत सिंह ने रजत पदक जीता।

प्रियदर्शिनी सुरेश ने महिला ट्रिपल जम्प और पूनम सोनुने ने पांच हजार मीटर दौड़ में कांस्य पदक जीते।
